Qi Gong (often pronounced chi kung) is a practice that synchronises breathing with specific movements and postures to help balance the body and mind while heightening sensitivity and internal awareness in order to promote a more healthy existence. Qi Gong is a specific practice for making the body and mind stronger, more robust, and efficient.

There are different styles of Qi Gong instruction available. There are dynamic sequences such as Wu Xing (Five Animals) Qi Gong, which focuses on strengthening and healing the internal organs or Yi Jin Jing (Muscle & Tendon Strengthening Exercise) Qi Gong, which focuses on the soft and connective tissues.

There are also standing or static practices/postures that focus more on body alignment and mental focus.
